On June 19, 2025, we will set out on a physical and spiritual journey in the mountains outside of Sweet Idaho. We will experience in small measure what the pioneers went through to reach the Salt Lake Valley.
From 1856 to 1860, about 3,000 Latter-day Saints pulled handcarts across the American plains to gather in the Salt Lake Valley. These pioneers trekked more than a thousand miles through heat and cold; through mud, sand, and sometimes snow; and through rivers and over mountains. They faced trials that required great faith and perseverance.
We honor the great faith, hope and determination of our pioneer ancestors.
Through Trek we hope you will develop similar faith, hope and determination by having opportunities to feel and recognize the Spirit, understand what the Lord is telling you, develop a deeper relationship with the Savior, and build unity in our wards and stake.
